Clark Capital adds two strategic hires as firm growth continues
Philadelphia, PA, September 5, 2018 — Clark Capital Management Group, an independent asset manager founded in 1986, announced today that Tim McGarrity and Jim Shields have joined the Firm, expanding the executive leadership and key account distribution teams.
Tim McGarrity joins the Firm as Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the oversight of Clark Capital’s accounting, finance, treasury and tax functions. With over 25 years’ experience in the financial industry, Tim has also served as the VP of Finance at Hartford Funds. Prior to his role at Hartford Funds, Tim spent over 10 years at Delaware Investments, eventually becoming the SVP of Finance and Corporate Development. Tim will report directly to Brendan Clark, CEO.
Jim Shields has been appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Key Accounts, working towards growing the Firm’s product placement and distribution opportunities among broker dealer and investment platforms. Prior to Clark Capital, Jim served in senior sales and distribution roles at Russell Investments both as a Regional Director and as Director of RIA and Independent Broker/Dealer Distribution. Jim also served eight years active duty in the U.S. Navy as a P-3 Mission Commander. Jim will report to Joseph Bell, Executive Vice President, Key Accounts.
